Meeting Minutes
Plan Review Committee
Tuesday, October 1, 2019
Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room
Drew McManus, Conservation Agent. No comments
Rodney Collins, Town Manager:_ He did not have any comments as long as public
safety is all set, and those that are linked to the code enforcement whether it be
building or others; he is all set.
Evan Lehrer, Town Planner: Mentioned that when he met with Rob a couple
weeks ago, and he still has not identified a recorded copy of the original special
permit, and asked Rob to supply a recorded copy.
Catherine Laurent, DPW Director: Wanted to know the number of parking spaces
and the designated use. Rob said there is an abundance of parking spaces for the
lower level. The middle units are not occupied presently. There will only be
employee parking and one delivery in and out. Catherine mentioned that is a private
road and historically there have been issues with the lack of maintenance on the
road, so she is not sure if there has been communication with the association if
there is one. There are issues with the drainage on the road. Rob said he is not
changing anything yet because all the work will be internal. He knew of some issue
with tapping into the water line, but will go through the proper channels to get that
done.
Charlie asked if there were any police concerns.
Scott Carline, Chief of Police: He said he met with Rob earlier, and has said he
has a very solid safety plan which he will propose. He has some outstanding
policies and procedures, but is way ahead in the process, and until he sees the later
phases of the business process, he is very comfortable.
Thomas Rullo, Fire Chief: Tom mentioned that he needs a copy of the September
21st email from Rob. He will need to be able to submit that to the State, and will not
be making any more decisions until he hears from the State. Tom said the State
would like to meet with him, and Rob, and include the Building Department. Tom
said he needs a fire protection engineer's report. He said that he discussed NFPA
38 which has not been accepted by the Town yet, but was referenced to Rob earlier.
Tom mentioned the Architect was looking at trying to follow that. Rob said that he
put that in the email. Tom said he mentioned that he discussed the quantities of the
extraction process, and was not sure if it was in the report for the State.
5
