MASHPEE CULTURAL COUNCIL <br /> December 2, 2019 - Mashpee Senior Center <br /> PRESENT: All members: Nina Cocomazzi, David Egel,Winnie Graham , Mary Kate O'Brien, Mary Alice <br /> Stahleker, Bill Nay,Andrea Watson. <br /> The meeting was called to order by MK O'Brien at 9:33 am. <br /> MINUTES <br /> The minutes of the November 1, 2019 meeting with the attachment of Grant Applications and <br /> Results-2020 were unanimously APPROVED on motion by D. Egel, seconded by B. Nay. <br /> TREASURER'S REPORT <br /> All 2019 submissions will have been processed except Shakespeare in Park which did not <br /> occur. That $550 grant will rollover to 2021, one year from acceptance letter which puts it <br /> into 2021 grant year. <br /> D. Egel moved and B. Nay seconded to ACCEPT THE Treasurer's Report. <br /> OLD & NEW BUSINESS <br /> There were no appeals from the five applications that were denied. Approvals can now be <br /> sent. <br /> Letters notifying applicants of their grant amounts will be sent to applicants by December <br /> 15, 2019 by N. Cocomazzi. <br /> Art Week <br /> B. Nay presented information received from Sue Dahling Sullivan, a Mashpee resident who is <br /> one of the main organizers and directors of Art Week, a group that encourages art and <br /> especially free participatory art. She has asked if the Council would like to become a partner <br /> organization. Mass Cultural Council is major sponsor and Mashpee TV has done PSAs for the <br /> group. Events are held for one week of May; 600 were publicized last year. There is a <br /> Webinar and B. Nay will try to send a link to committee members. <br /> After discussion as to how we could effectively participate, it was decided to invite Ms. <br /> Sullivan to the Council's next meeting to obtain further information. <br /> NEXT MEETING <br /> The next meeting of the Council will be held on Tuesday,June 23 at 9:30 am at the Mashpee <br /> Senior Center. N. Cocomazzi will arrange for a meeting room. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> B. Nay made motion to adjourn; D. Egel seconded the motion.
