Coleman, Administrative Secretary RE: Special Event, Temporary Sign Permit n One Day Liquor license Applications RaceWire Beach and Back Half Marathon.and. 5K Icscri tin Discussion and approval of the Special Event, Temporary Sign Permit and One Day Liquor License applications submitted by RaceWire for the Annual Beach and Back Half Marathon and 5K taking place Sunday, ,dune 7, 2020 from 8.-00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Background The Annual Beach and Back Half Marathon and 5K hosted by RaceWire is a community road race to benefit the Mashp ee Boosters Club. The event host is beeping the event details similar to previous years with a half marathon and 5K distance. The applicant is requesting a road closure for D nna's Lane from Route 28 to Great Neck Road South. The race will begin at Donnas .lane and end at the Mashpee Commons green where a past-race celebration will take place., Each ruiner will receive a complimentary beer with their registration fee. Runners are to present therm ID at the entrances to the celebration and again to claim their beer.Naul about Brewing Company will provide the post-race beer. Recommendations The required Departments reviewed the application and submitted the following recommendations: Building--Approved, no additional comments. DPW—Approved., all litter along the race route and at water stations shall be preyed up. any use of the Mashpee School parking lot shall require the applicant to submit a facilities Use Application Fire—Approved, requires the hiring of four 4 Firefighters by RaceWire for this event.' Health—Approved, no additional comments. Police--Approved, sixteen 6 Detail Officers needed.
