Motion carries, Roll Call Vote, Selectman Gottlieb, no Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden, no Opposed, C2) NEW BUSINESS Discussion and App oval of Seasonal Population hstimate: Town Planner Evan Lehrer: Evan Lehrer, Town Planner was in attendance to review and recommend the Summer Population projections for July 10, 2020 with the Board of Selectmen. Mr. Lehrer indicated during the peak of the summer season, the estimated population is 3 5,73 6 persons in the Town of Mashpee. Mr. Lehrer disclosed that an error was detected in calculating the total number of total occupied summer housing units in 2019. The error resulted in the estimate for occupants of seasonal dwelling as approximately 281 persons, less than it should have been. Last year's estimate of 3 5,3 78 should have been more accurately represented at a value of 35,590�. The estimated population of 35,736 persons inMashpee on July 10, 2020 is a marginal increase of approximately 146 persons. Motion made by Selectman Sherman to Estimate the Summer Population of 35,736 persons on July 10, 2020, the peak of the summer season as recommended., Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton, VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0.
