Open Meeting and roll call-the Chair opened the meeting at 1:01 PM. Present: Andy Eliason,Lolita McCray, <br /> Ken Hannaford,and Dan Riley <br /> 2. Minutes: <br /> a. Approve March 12,2019 Meeting Minutes. There were no recommended changes to the minutes. <br /> Motion: Andy Eliason moved to approve the minutes of March 12,2019 seconded by Lolita McCray. <br /> Vote unanimous 4-0. <br /> 3. Comments from OpenCape representative regarding Mashpee plans,if any. Dan Riley announced that he was <br /> unsuccessful in getting a representative from Open Cape to attend the meeting.He indicated he would renew the <br /> effort for the next meeting. <br /> 4. Comments from Town Manager's Office.Due to the planning for memorial services for John Cahalane no <br /> representative from the town manager's office was available. <br /> 5. Comcast Renewal Process discussion-Dan Riley indicated that he had spoken briefly with Rodney Collins and <br /> Wayne Taylor about holding a separate meeting to determine what role this committee would play in the renewal <br /> process.Bill Nay volunteered to attend that meeting as well to provide his past experience with these negotiations. <br /> 6. Budget discussion and update—Dawn Thayer,Finance Director-Dawn reviewed the reports which she <br /> presented to the committee and provided answers to all questions that committee members had concerning the <br /> status of the accounts. <br /> 7. David DelVecchio will report on IT updates. -David reported about the work that Ochers had been doing to <br /> reorganize the broadcast room.He also indicated that there might be a future charge to use a salvaged power <br /> unit. That charge was estimated by Bayside electrical to be$1664. <br /> 8. Mashpee Community Television updates—Bill Nay discussed the Sandwich Ascertainment Hearing and <br /> mentioned that Town Manager Rodney Collins and Mashpee businessman and resident John Miller also <br /> testified about the importance of retaining the Sandwich local office. He also provided information about the <br /> Senate Commerce Committee hearing on June 5tn on the state of the Video Marketplace. He provided <br /> handouts about all of this. He also mentioned the audio changes to Town Hall that are planned for this <br /> Summer and the lighting and audio upgrades to Mashpee High auditorium this Summer or early Fall. <br /> 9. Final comments by Board members or public. <br /> 10. Additional Topics. <br /> 11. Schedule next meeting date.
