Corridor Project and in Phase 11 of the Watershed
Nitrogen Management Plan. There 'is a cost savings to begin this project concurrent with the Route 151
Corridor Improvement Project to save taxpayer funds during road construction/paving and to avoid delays
as the road(Route 151 when reconstructed cannot be altered for a minimum of 5-years after it has been
completed.
In Phase 11 the wastewater project is expanded to add treatment capacity to the western side of Mashpce to
include the Quashnet watershed. The collection system/piping is a necessary piece of infrastructure to make
Phase 11 possible and would be used to move wastewater in-subsequent phases if necessary. Although it has
not been fully determined the collection system would move wastewater to Joint Base Cape Cod (J1 CC) or
to the Town-owned Back Road site for treatment.
After considering possible funding scenario's Town Manager Rodney C.
