Gmail-Info prior to call at 3pm today 6/19/201 4:04 PIVI
M Gmail
Info prlor.to call at 3pry today
To: Thu, Jun 18, 2020 at 8:13 AM
Hi Allan, as requested I've attached a resume for your reference and consideration for the Affordable Housing Committee.
I moved to Cape Cod 14 years ago and started a career in radio. When I moved, I didn't know anyone and was introduced to
CCYP (Cape Cod Young Professionals). It was with this non-profit that I was able to build a professional network and get
involved in the community. I served on a number of committees, from the Back to Business Bash and Membership, to
eventually serving as the Co-Chair of the Marketing Committee. I oversaw the rebranding efforts of CCYP and formed and
implemented new programs to drive revenue.
Before moving to Mashpee I served on an event committee in the town of Yarmouth for a few years.
In my role at CCB Media I interact with the business community on a regular basis, mostly Cape Cod businesses, Chambers
and non-profits who partner with the company throughout the year.
I've been aware for a long time that there is a housing crisis on Cape Cod, and in the last 2 years have looked to get involved
with a non-profit or organization that can be a part of making changes.
I attended some of the ADU ByLaw town meetings last Fall and that spurred an interest in becoming involved on a town
committee.
I spoke with John Cotton, who I know through networking over the years, and think serving on a Committee can provide some
personal growth while making a difference in the community I live in.
I'm looking forward to connecting later today to learn more about the Committee and this opportunity.
Thank you.
Melinda
Melinda Baker Resume AHC.pdf
650K
https://mail-google.com/mail/u/o?ik=5cf2le6467&view=pt,&search=all&p..sgid=msg-f%3Al669838841786817753&simPl=msg-f%3Al669838841786817753 Page 1 of 1
