Capital Improvement Program Committee <br /> Minutes *APPROVED* 1-19-2021 <br /> September 24, 2020 <br /> Present: ` Town Manager Rodney Collins, School Representative Patricia DeBoer(via Zoom), <br /> Member-at-Large Charles Gasior(via Zoom), Finance Committee Member Michael <br /> Richardson, Member-at-Large Edmund Sarno (via Zoom), Finance Director Dawn Thayer <br /> Attendees: Assistant Town Manager Wayne E.Taylor, Director of Natural Resources Ashley Fisher <br /> Absent: Selectman Andrew Gottlieb <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Collins at 4:01pm <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Popponesset Meeting Room (and via Zoom) <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Discussion and Approval of the following:Thursday, August 27, 2020 <br /> Motion made by Mr. Collins to approve the minutes of Thursday,August 27, 2020,as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Sarno. <br /> VOTE: Passes. 4-0-2 <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr.Collins,yes Mrs. DeBoer,yes Mr. Gasior, abstain <br /> Mr.Gottlieb,absent Mr. Richardson,abstain Mr. Sarno,yes Mrs.Thayer,yes <br /> Opposed, none <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Capital Improvement Program Submission for October 19 2020 Annual Town Meeting <br /> Department of Natural Resources: Replacement Shellfish Vessel: Director Ashley Fisher <br /> Director Fisher explained the current state of the two vessels and the need to purchase a new one. <br /> Discussion over why maintenance wasn't performed was addressed and it was ensured that routine <br /> maintenance is currently being done and will be done regularly going forward. Director Fisher <br /> recommends the May-Craft Hancock 25 from Eagle Marine because it is local for service needs, the <br /> Evinrude motor is in stock and available versus the Yamaha motors from the other two quotes that are <br /> backordered, and it came in at the lowest price quote. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Richardson to approve the request to go before the Finance Committee to have <br /> $42,764.00 taken out of the reserve fund to purchase the new May-Craft Hancock 25 from Eagle Marine <br /> for the Shellfish Division. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Gasior. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 6-0 <br />
