Chair <br /> Baumgaertel asked if the Board can act to close schools if the situation were to go downhill,and <br /> Mr. Harrington answered that, in the interest of public health, he believed the Board had that <br /> authority but, when those decisions are made, they need to be done as a consensus with other <br /> factions involved. If the school starts to see an increase in numbers,a response would have to be <br /> ironed out between school administration, DESE, DPH and the Board of Health. <br /> Mr. Harrington advised Board members that the schools still intended to set-up tents as outside <br /> classrooms, but he believed they were intended for seasonal use only. He stated that it was a <br /> feather in the school's cap that they had no positive cases linked to the graduation ceremony, as <br /> other towns have not been so fortunate. <br /> NEXT MEETING <br /> The next meeting of the Board of Health was scheduled for Thursday,September 3,2020 at 7:00 PM. <br /> There being no further business, Veronica Warden moved to adjourn the Public Session Meeting of the <br /> Board of Health at 8:42 PM.
