Town of Mashpee <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH - PUBLIC SESSION <br /> Mashpee Town Hall — Popponesset Meeting Room <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of September 3, 2020 <br /> Board Members Present: Member Absent: Also Present: <br /> Brian Baumgaertel,Chair Glen Harrington, Health Agent <br /> Veronica Warden,Clerk <br /> Chair Brian Baumgaertel called the meeting to order at 7:07 PM,and stated for the record that all Board <br /> members were participating remotely. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. COVID-19 update. Mr. Harrington commented that the following actions are completed or <br /> ongoing: <br /> • Communicated daily COVID-19 case numbers to the Town Manager's office and our public <br /> safety answering point <br /> • Participated in weekly conference calls with the DPH and the Health Agents' Coalition <br /> • Watched weekly press conferences from Governor Baker <br /> • Maintained the Mashpee COVID-19 webpage <br /> • Stayed up to date on the latest orders, standards, and guidance for school re-opening, <br /> recreational camps, transportation, lodging operators, long-term care facilities, restaurants, <br /> amateur sports,gatherings,travel orders and child care. <br /> • Reviewed testing protocols for the schools, reviewed disinfection products, provided <br /> guidance on hand washing signage and discussed mask breaks and reviewed sports guidance <br /> • Provided guidance on cinema re-opening standards <br /> • Advised businesses on outdoor events and provided guidance <br /> • Continued to advise restaurants on safety standards,including COVID-19 response protocols. <br /> • Provided guidance to the Town Manager regarding the re-opening of town hall <br /> • Communicated with the Recreation Department about ongoing beach compliance <br /> enforcement,and periodically monitored Callie's Beach and John's Pond Beach for COVID-19 <br /> compliance <br /> • Collaborated with Suzanne Burke, the COVID-19 compliance inspector hired by Barnstable <br /> County to provide assistance to Mashpee businesses with meeting the COVID-19 safety <br /> standards <br /> • Communicated COVID-19 compliance complaints to the Department of Labor Standards <br /> • Advised the Council on Aging on a proposed walking program and pizza party <br /> • Addressed COVID-19 complaints for the following businesses: Finally Dino's,The Picnic Box <br /> 1 <br />
