Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Gottlieb at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> MINUTES <br /> Monday February 10, 2020 Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve the minutes of Monday,February 10, 2020 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Public Comment: <br /> As a reminder it was announced that Election Day is Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Polling will take place at the <br /> Quashnet School from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. <br /> Carolyn Willis of 423 Monomoscoy Road expressed concern regarding work done on public property a basketball <br /> net with electric service for lighting and a water spigot. Posts were also installed on Town property that may <br /> impact snow plowing. The new court is being used frequently and it is now a very noisy and disruptive area. The <br /> neighborhood association was noted to have contributed funds for this project which includes plantings. <br /> Pequot Avenue resident Virginia Sharfenberg indicated that she has made a request to be placed on the <br /> Selectmen's Agenda on March 30t"to present a short presentation on the proposed municipal ban of single use <br /> plastic bottles and other beverages. <br /> Andrew McKelvey a resident of 11 Menemsha Road commented on the planned rise in Transfer Station sticker <br /> fees. Mr. McKelvey voiced concern to the 1st Household sticker fee proposed to increase from $150 to $200 as <br /> unexpected which may cause issues with residents on a fixed or a single income. Mr. McKelvey stated the Town <br /> is in a good financial condition to absorb the cost which would assist residents in stabilizing costs. With the <br /> pending wastewater project it is hopeful the Board of Selectmen would consider these issues when considering <br /> the increase in sticker fees. <br />
