Bio ra hical Sketch Mr. Colombo is currently retired and enjoys his time with his.grandchildren's sporting p g activities, outdoor photography, gardening, and a multitude of other outside interests. He dedicates a portion of his time to his membership and duties as a Conservation Commissioner for the City of Leominster. Recently he and his wife Michaela, have moved to Mashpee, Massachusetts where they enjoy living in close proximity to the ocean environment. He formerly taught Environmental and Physical Science curricula at Clinton High School. He was also the program manager for EduTel Communications Inc. a federally recognized non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization that assisted teachers in their efforts to incorporate existing and emerging technologies into interdisciplinary curricula. He directed academic technology and managed web development for Simmons College in Boston. His responsibilities included developing and overseeing the college web site, coordinating communication between the web office and all departments in both the undergraduate and graduate colleges along with providing Internet based professional development for faculty and staff. Mr. Colombo also directed the EnviroNet network for teacher enhancement and professional development that was established under a National Science Foundation .award. He has academic and professional experience in environmental sciences as well as an outstanding technology background for networked science. He has taught environmental sciences in grades seven through twelve for twenty-six years during which he closely integrated Conservation Commission work with his curricula. He also served as a consultant for a NSFINIE grant initiative, "WhaleNet" with Wheelock College in Boston. He has given numerous technology workshops at local, regional, and national conferences for science education.
