'4 <br /> Article 5 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $27,800 from the Community <br /> Preservation Fund 10% Historic Purpose Reserve in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 44B, <br /> §5 for the purpose of funding the Retrofit of the vault Project including necessary costs and expenses <br /> related thereto, as recommended by the Community Preservation Committee, or take any other action <br /> relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Community Preservation Committee <br /> The Community Preservation Committee recommends approval of article 5 by a vote of 5-1. <br /> Explanation: The goal of this project is to retrofit the vault in the Town Clerk's Office with mobile storage <br /> shelving with carriages, track and steel end panels to stare vital records. Retrofitting the vault with mobile <br /> shelving would increase the vault storage by approximately 60%. The vault currently stores all of the vital <br /> records for the Town as well as IT data for the Town's computer servers, ZBA decisions and election ballots. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 5 by a vote of 5-0 <br /> FINCOM. This article authorizes the appropriation and transfer of $27,800 ,from the Community <br /> Preservation Fund .10% Historic Purpose Reserve to the Retrofit of the Vault Project. These funds will be <br /> used to update storage in the vault in the Town Clerk"s office increasing its storage capacity by <br /> approximately 60°0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of article .5 by a vote of 5-1 <br /> Article 6 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sung of $144,000 from the Community <br /> Preservation Fund Budgeted for appropriation Reserve in accordance with the previsions of M.G.L. Chapter <br /> 44131 §5 for the purpose of funding the waterways Extension Project including necessary costs and expenses <br /> related thereto, as recommended by the Community Preservation Committee, or take any other action <br /> relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Community Preservation Committee <br /> The Community Preservation Committee recommends approval of Article 6 by a vote of 5-0. <br /> Explanation: The goal of this project is to improve recreational activity in Waquoit Bay and its <br /> embayment's. Funding would provide for the necessary engineering and permitting associated to the <br /> dredging of the Little River and Great River Channels to include Hamblin and Jehu Ponds. <br /> Dredging will allow for the navigation of the channels at all tides and improve tidal flush which may reduce <br /> nitrogen and improve water quality. Dredging is permitted from Waquoit Bay to the intersection of Little <br /> Rimer and Great River. Dredging is currently not permitted beyond the Waquoit Bay channel. <br /> The 0oard of Selectmen recommends approval of article 6 by a vote of 5-0 <br /> P'INCOM: This article authorizes the appropriation and transfer of $144,000 from the Community <br /> Preservation Fund Budgeted for Appropriation Reserve to develop engineering and permitting to dredge the <br /> Little River and Great River Channels(including Hamblin and Jehu Ponds'to improve recreational activity by <br /> increasing navigation for all tides, and reduce nitrogen and improve water quality through increased tidal <br /> flush. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of article 6 by a vote of 6-0 <br /> 9 <br />
