Retrofitting the <br /> vault with mobile shelving would increase the vault storage by approximately 60%. The vault <br /> currently stores all of the vital records for the Town as.well as IT data for the Town's computer <br /> servers,.ZBA decisions and election ballots. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 5 by a vote of 5-0 <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 5 by a vote of 5-1 <br /> Article 6(Fin- om Report Page 9) <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of$-144,.000 from the Community <br /> Preservation Fund Budgeted for Appropriation Reserve in accordance with the provisions.of M.G.L. <br /> Chapter 448, §5 for the purpose of funding the Waterways Extension Project including necessary <br /> costs and expenses related thereto, as 'recommended by the Community Preservation Committee, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Community Preservation Committee <br /> The Community Preservation Committee recommends approval of Article 6 by a vote of 5-0. <br /> Explanation: The goal of this project is to improve recreational activity in Waquoit Bay and its <br /> embayments. Funding would provide for the necessary engineering and permitting associated to <br /> the dredging of the Little River and Great River Channels to include Hamblin and Jehu Ponds. <br /> Dredging will allow for the navigation of the channels at a I I tides and-improve tidal flush which may <br /> reduce nitrogen and improve water, quality. Dredging is permitted from Waquoit Bay to the <br /> intersection of Little River and Great River. Dredging is currently not permitted beyond the Waquoit <br /> Bay channel. - <br /> The,Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 6 by a vote of 5-0 <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 6 by a vote of 6-0 <br /> Article 7 (Fin-Com Report Page 10) <br /> To-see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of$40,000 from the Community <br /> Preservation Fund 10% Affordable Housing Reserve, in accordance with the provisions of M.C.L. <br /> Chapter 44B §►5, for.the purpose of funding the FORWARD (Friends Or' Relatives With Autism & <br /> Related Disabilities) Project, as recommended by the Community Preservation Committee including <br /> necessary costs and expenses related thereto as recommended by the Community Preservation <br /> Committee, said sum to be disbuised subject to and contingent upon prior execution of a <br /> Memorandum of Understanding between the fund recipient and the Board of Selectmen,the terms <br /> of-which shall be acceptable to the Board of Selectmen, said funds to be held and expended by the <br /> Afford-able Housing Trust ("Trust) Board of Trustees of said Trust for the purpose of Affordable <br /> Housing, including any necessary costs and expenses related thereto, provided, however, that said <br /> sum shall be used exclusively for community housing and shall remain subject to all rules, regulation <br /> and limitations of M.G.L. Chapter 44B when expended by the Trust, shall be accounted for separately <br /> by the Trust, and, provided further,that at the end of each fiscal year, the Trust shall ensure that all <br /> expenditures of said funds are'reported to the Community Preservation Committee, or take any <br /> other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Community Preservation Committee <br />
