Jeff reported that he has received and <br /> reviewed and sees no issues with hindering navigation. The application is now with <br /> Conservation for review. <br /> Old Business: <br /> Harbormaster Report: <br /> Past: <br /> -All No Wake buoys with-in Town waters have been removed as of 05NOV20 <br /> -All Lateral (Red/Green) Buoys within Town waters have been removed and replaced with <br /> winter sticks, this is first year that each buoy has been replaced. <br /> - Succonnesset Point Rock marker has been removed this year IAW permit—first time in four <br /> years the buoy was removed for the season. The rock itself is charted. <br /> - Gooseberry Island rock buoy was serviced this year, unknown last time the chain was <br /> replaced or the buoy scrapped. Rocks that buoy is marking have mostly been spread out and <br /> covered with sand, will continue to monitor and mark rocks. <br /> - M1 (Safeboat) has finally been serviced with the parts arriving, engine oil was found in good <br /> condition but in need of replacement. Spring maintenance will consist of doing the 900 hour <br /> service. <br /> - M2 (Make), M3, (Zodiac), M4 (Maritime) and M5 (Carolina Skiff) were all serviced with 100 <br /> hour maintenance and 300 hour maintenance, numerous engines were found with sand within <br /> the impellers, but overall conditions were good. Will continue to conduct hourly maintenance as <br /> required by engine maintenance procedures. <br /> -All seasonal employees for the Harbormaster have been released as of the 6th of November. <br /> - Shellfish Constable conducted emergency fiberglass work to the M7 (Workboat), these repairs <br /> were needed due to the hull showing significant damage to the bow due to beaching the boat at <br /> ramps to off load buoys. This practice stopped in fall of 2019. <br /> Present: <br /> - Continue to monitor and improve the winter sticks that were deployed this fall, will ensure each <br /> winter stick is standing tall and still attached to their mooring. <br /> - Continue to conduct maintenance on the M1 (Safeboat) i.e. Hauling and cleaning hull and <br /> interior and ensure fresh water rinse of engines. <br /> -Assist the Shellfish Constable with hauling their only boat and cleaning and relocating for work. <br /> Future: <br /> - Continue to provide assistance to Shellfish Constable and Conservation Department <br /> consistent with our mission as directed by job description. <br /> - Continue to provide marine patrols via water or shore side as weather allows. <br /> - Prepare for Moorings renewals in January 2021. <br /> DNR Director/Shellfish Constable Report: <br />
