Marie Stevenson, Gail Wilson, JoAnn Nadeau, Susan Wilson, Richard Klein, <br /> Winnie Johnson-Graham, Mohamad Fand <br /> Absent: Patty DeBoer, William Baker (Non-Voting), Cheyenne Hendricks (Non-Voting) <br /> Also Absent: Selectman Liaison John Cotton, Human Resource Director Kim Landry <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The remote meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Stevenson at 10:03 a.m. with a quorum. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES March 10,2020 <br /> There were no corrections to the minutes. <br /> MOTION: A motion was made by Mr. Klein to approve the minutes as written. <br /> There was discussion regarding whether there was a quorum present from the last meeting to officially <br /> approve the meeting minutes. It was suggested that the minutes appear on the next agenda. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Although they were in attendance at the last meeting in March, the Chair officially welcomed new <br /> members, Mr. Fand and Mr. Klein,now voting members of the Committee. The Chair indicated that <br /> Ms. Cook, in the Town Manager's office, would be updating the membership list after the new <br /> Committee Chair and Vice Chair were elected. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Chief Carline-The Chair referenced a Zoom meeting that took place among members of the <br /> Human Rights Commission and Cape Police Chiefs. The Chair referenced a letter she sent to Chief <br /> Carline offering support from the MIDC. Chief Carline responded by letter, outlining a variety of <br /> programs and policies the Police Department had established to ensure that they were meeting <br /> nationwide best practice standards and effecting positive change. Programs included bias based <br /> programming,training and the possibility of use of body cameras. Chief Carline was open to further <br /> conversations with the Committee. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> None at this time. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Brochure Status-The Chair stated that a change would be made to the brochure so that Tribal <br /> Council would be changed to read Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Government and Community Center <br /> and moved to the top of the list. It was noted that Ms. DeBoer had the original file, but that with the <br /> current situation, now may not be the time to pursue further distribution of the brochure. Ms. S. <br /> Wilson inquired about the possibility of distributing the brochure electronically to an email list of <br /> businesses and/or agencies. The Chair confirmed that a hard copy had been sent to the organizations <br />
