6 <br /> Finance Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> October 1, 2020 <br /> Update on Budget Process from Town Manager: (continued) <br /> It was suggested that updated electronic versions of the warrant be considered as a method to <br /> appropriately detail the final version of the warrant on the Town's website with the updated <br /> recommendations of the Finance Committee to make this information known to the public. <br /> Of note there may be a typographical error on the draft Budget Calendar regarding the deadline <br /> to deliver the Warrant/Finance Committee Report to the Voters. The Bylaw states the date <br /> should be the 3`d Monday prior to the month of Town Meeting. The date is thus April 19, 2021. <br /> The document reflects the date of April 26, 2021. This may be the deliverable ultimate deadline. <br /> The dates would be verified for correctness. <br /> It was agreed the Finance Committee would obtain clarity on the deadline date and further <br /> review the process and timeline at the next meeting. <br /> With regards to the October Town Meeting Warrant Town Manager Rodney C. Collins indicated <br /> the article regarding the potential acquisition of Gooseberry Island will not be moving forward in <br /> October as a result of the timeline. The process was noted to require an approval from the <br /> Community Preservation Committee and the procurement of an appraisal. <br /> Liaison Assignment discussion: <br /> With a full voting quorum of the Finance Committee,the Liaison Assignment List was reviewed <br /> for updated assignments. Finance Committee members serve as liaisons to the respective <br /> departments, and act as the point of contact in communicating during the budget process. <br />
