f
Y` T
As for use, the pond is VERY peaceful with little boat traffic or personal watercraft. As a water skier, I
look for optimal conditions to time my skiing. In a rare instance there may be two or three other motor
boats on the pond at a time and two jet skiers. I have NEVER felt that it is unsafe to waterski or swim. If
I want to have reduced traffic at all (like none), I can always wait ten minutes and any boater or jet ski is
gone. The only longer term boats are small fishing boats and they are not a nuisance as they tend to just
float by in shallow water(although their voices DO carry in the peaceful mornings!). I also enjoy
watching my 75 year old neighbor row safely around the lake every weather friendly day that she can!
Water Use Safety—This weekend, I was at the boat ramp taking my boat out of the Pond for the season
and found only this flimsy temporary informational caution to jet skiers, below. We can certainly do
much better than this for signage to inform all watercraft of the rules of the Pond.
9
