<br /> Fiscal 1987 showed a slight slow down in tax title
<br /> redemptions. Redemptions totaled$75,927, with interest General Cash
<br /> and charges of$34,848, for a total of$110,775. However, Additions
<br /> eleven (11) parcels of land were foreclosed in the Land Receipts $15,208,089
<br /> Court, thereby increasing Town owned land by approx- Tax Anticipation Notes 4,300,000
<br /> imately forty(40)acres. At the present time I have sixty- Bond Anticipation Notes 1,430,234
<br /> one(61) parcels of land in various stages of foreclosure Grant Anticipation Notes 49,600
<br /> in the Land Court. Bonds 2,461,796
<br /> As your Treasurer, even with declining interest rates, Transfers from Special Accounts
<br /> I was able to earn $157,129 of interest income for the Revenue Sharing 142,865
<br /> Town, an increase of $48,669 over the prior year. Total Additions 23,592,584
<br /> One of the highlights of fiscal 1987 was the successful
<br /> sale of$2,380,000 of bonds to fund the Mashpee River
<br /> land purchase and the construction of the Public Works Deductions
<br /> building. This was the first bond sale in many years for Payments per Warrants 23,855,217

<br /> the Town and it was very satisfying for Moody's Investors Decrease in Cash ( 262,633)
<br /> Service, Inc. to grant us an"A"rating for the bond sale. Cash, July 1, 1986 3,337,930
