28 <br />Report of the Highway Surveyor <br />To the Honorable Board of Selectmen <br />and the Citizens of the Town of Mashpee <br />I hereby submit my annual report as Highway Surveyor <br />for the year ending December 31, 1963. <br />Chapter 81: Popponesset, Pimlico Pond, Old Mill, Old <br />Barnstable, and Quashnet Roads and Lovells Lane were all <br />seal coated with asphalt. Quashnet Road and Lovells Lane <br />were penetrate sealed; all other roads had shoulder patch <br />work done, and brush work where needed. <br />Lowell Road was widened and penetrate sealed. 3,150 <br />feet of Old Barnstable Road was widened and filled <br />and treated with 21/2 inches of mix in- place. <br />Chapter 90 maintenance money was spent putting on <br />three-eighths blue stone on Route 130 and Route 151. <br />Chapter 90: Constructioin work was completed on Cotuit <br />Road, Work was started on Meeting House Road but had to <br />be discontinued on account of the County lay out—on which <br />progress has been slow. All roads are in good shape except <br />for frost heaves. All roads were kept plowed out and sanded <br />where needed. <br />In closing I wish to thank the Selectmen, Town Account- <br />ant, and State Engineers and all other Departments for their <br />cooperation with me in carrying out my work. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />EDWIN L.
