ay
37
t Pistol permits issued 11
General complaints received 81
Family trouble complaints received 6
Breaking and Entering and larency complaints
received 12
Dog complaints received 4
Malicious destruction of property complaints
received 15
Town patrols, including inspection of summer
camps 71
We have been quite fortunate this past year by hav-
ing not to spend one cent for maintenance of our new
high frequency police radio. We now have a transmitter
and receiver that is equal to the best in our county Po-
lice System.
We are still receiving complaints of teen-age groups
entering our New Town Hall without authority or super-
vision and committing acts of vandalism. This is a
practice that must be halted as it has cost the Town
quite a number of dollars to repair the damage that has
been done from time to time.
We hope to equip some of our officers with various
pieces of new equipment this year which is badly need-
ed. Most of our clothing has been hand-me-downs and
is badly worn.
I wish to thank everyone who has co-operated with
our department and assisted us with our various prob-
lems.
Respectfully submitted,
FRANK E. HICKS,
Chief of Police.
