Y. <br /> L <br /> r <br /> I <br /> SUBJECT: Minutes of the Meeting of the Mashpee Americans with Disabilities Act } <br /> Conmittee,November 18 2004 <br /> } <br /> The Mashpee Americans with Disabilities Act Committee met Thursday, November 1 , <br /> 2004 at Mashpee Town lull Meeting Roo #2. <br /> Members in attendance <br /> William Dundonk <br /> Marilyn Farren <br /> ,carnes Marr <br /> Patricia Parolski <br /> Beverly Wooldridge <br /> Robert Wooldridge <br /> The minutes of the October 21, 2004 meeting were reviewed and accepted. <br /> u <br /> Hard n reported Richard Stevens, Building Inspector had prior commitments on the third <br /> p n <br /> Thursday and would be unable to attend. He will be attending once we return to our <br /> regular meeting schedule of the second Thursday of the month. <br /> OLD BLTSfNESS <br /> Jim Marr revised thep ro osed letter to the Town Manager regarding improving access t <br /> Town Hall. The new draft addresses access to all Town buildings, i.e., Archives, Library, } <br /> etc., as well as Town Hall and also acknowledges need for additional fading. Marilyn <br /> mentioned the new v Assistant Building Inspector had experience with these issues in <br /> Plymouth and may have some suggestions for approach to funding. The letter will be f <br /> signed at the December 09, 2004 meeting. <br /> Trish Parolski has been discussing school access with maintenance supervisor. <br /> The Building Inspector has not had an opportunity to tale up the Mashpee Commons <br /> access problems raised in Bob's memo. Marilyn indicated he would discuss the situation <br /> at the December meeting. Bob reported a brief meeting with Mr. Toni Feronti, <br /> Construction Coordinator for Mashpee Commons. Bob questioned the absence of signs %. <br /> r <br /> for the four new handicap spaces behind Ann Taylor. Mr. Feronti indicated the signs <br /> were available and would be installed as soon as the appropriate posts were procured. <br /> Bob did not pursue this or other issues with Mr. Feronti since Richard Stevens would <br /> soon be taking up all the access issues with Commons officials. I <br /> Bill reported the owner manager of Cape Cod Rehabilitation in Summerfield Park had <br /> taken action to repair the enabling sidewalk approach to the building that had been an <br /> obstacle to wheelchair-bound patients. <br /> } <br /> } <br /> } <br /> } <br /> x <br />
