There is no specific entity cited for burial permits in the statute. Many factions, including the <br /> Town Clerk,Superintendent of Cemeteries,or an appointed individual can act as the Burial Agent. <br /> The Town Clerk has been doing the majority of the release and certification of the death <br /> certificates;therefore, Mr. Harrington had no objection to the change. <br /> As Chairman of Cemetery Commission, Mr.Virgilio was of the opinion that this is a good move. <br /> Chair Baumgaertel and Ms. Warden both indicated that, if the change is allowed and Mr. <br /> Harrington is comfortable with it,they were in favor. <br /> There being no further comments or discussion,Veronica Warden moved to approve Town Clerk <br /> Deborah Dami's request to act as the Burial Agent for Town of Mashpee. Motion seconded by <br /> Ernest Virgillo. Roll call vote: Ernest Virgilio (yes); Veronica Warden (yes); Brian Baumgaertel <br /> (yes). VOTE: Unanimous(3-0). <br /> 6. Review and discussion of Landfill Gas Monitoring Report. Mr. Harrington commented that this <br /> report was from the August 2020 sampling event. Ms. Warden inquired about the status of the <br /> gas well that was previously noted as needing replacement. Mr. Harrington confirmed his ihtent <br /> to address that. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> Mr. Harrington advised the Board that a letter had been sent to a Mashpee licensed septic installer, <br /> Michael Escher, relative to a tank he had installed without a permit. The letter had indicated that the <br /> matter was to be discussed at this evening's Board of Health meeting, but it was overlooked when <br /> compiling the agenda. <br /> Veronica Warden moved to add the matter of 83 Troon Way to the current agenda. Motion seconded by <br /> Ernest Virgilio. Ernest Virgilio(yes);Veronica Warden (yes); Brian Baumgaertel (yes).
