Dear Sir: Here is the Building Code By-Law voted on at the An- nual Town Meeting, March 2, 1970 and the manner by which it was presented to the voters. i BARNSTABLE, SS: To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in the elections, to be at the Town Hall on Monday, the 2nd day of is March, 1970, at seven o'clock p.m., for the following purposes: Article 46. To see if the Town will vote to amend the By-Laws of the Town of Mashpee, Article IV, Building Code, by deleting therefrom Section 10, Para. 1, and inserting therein the following: Para. 1. Fees for permits under this code shall be paid to the Town of Mashpee in accordance with the following l schedule: 1. For all buildings and structures with estimated cost not exceeding $5,000.00, the fee will be $5.00; and $1.00 additional for each $1,000.00 of estimated cost above $5,000.00. 2. For all other alterations and repairs with estimated cost not exceeding $5,000.00, the fee will be $5.00, with {' $1.00 additiona.l for each $1,000.00 of estimated cost above $5,000.00. j 3. For elevator installation: $10.00 for each shaft. 4. No fees shall be required to be paid for any permit under this code which are for building or alterations or repairs thereof where such buildings are for or owned by the Federal Government or the Common- wealth of Massachusetts, the County of Barnstable or the Town of Mashpee. Therefore only a permit and I a plan is required. i.
