Article 8. To see if the Town will assume liability in the <br />manner provided by Section 29 of Chapter 9 of the General <br />Laws, as most recently amended by Chapter 5, Acts of 1955 <br />for all damages that may be incurred by work to be per- <br />formed by the Department of Public Works of Massachu- <br />setts for the improvement, development, maintenance and <br />protection of tidal and non -tidal rivers .and streams, har- <br />bors, tide -waters, foreshores and shores along a public beach <br />in accordance with Section XI of Chapter 91 of the General <br />Laws, and authorize the Selectmen to execute and deliver a <br />bond of indemnity therefor to the Commonwealth. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded that article be ac- <br />cepted as read. 90, for, 0, opposed. <br />Article 9. To see if the Town will vote to add $25,000.00 <br />to the Stabilization Fund; $15,000.00 to be taken from free <br />cash in the general treasury, and $10,000.00 to be raised and <br />appropriated, or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Amended to read: Motion made and seconded <br />that $10,0100:010 be raised for the Stabilization Fund; $5,000.00 <br />.to be taken from free cash in the general treasury, and <br />$5;000.0 to be raised land appropriated. A unanimous vote. <br />Article 10.
