We encourage all citizens to Mike Kumin <br /> either attend our meetings or watch them on cable.We <br /> hope that this will make it possible for voters to be bet- <br /> ter informed about the financial workings of the gov' <br /> ernment. <br /> The Long Range Plan <br /> In response to the planned opening of our first <br /> junior/senior high school, the Education Reform Act, <br /> and capital projects facing Mashpee, the Finance <br /> Committee updated the 1991 Long Range Plan and <br /> presented it to the Board of Selectmen prior to the <br /> budget process. <br /> We planned expenditures based on anticipated rev- <br /> enues and evaluated the long term consequences of <br /> spending patterns. If the town adheres to the Long <br /> Range Plan, no override will be necessary to open <br /> the new junior/senior high school.Planning and dis- <br /> cipline are essential.
