Motion passes unanimously at 8:23 p.m. <br /> Article 9 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $1 ,015 to <br /> the Landfill Closure Capital Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Health <br /> Explanation: Costs for final payment estimate No. 8 to Crowell Construction for the Closure <br /> Plan for the Asher's Path Sanitary Landfill have exceeded original cost estimates. Our <br /> engineering fin'n, Weston & Sampson, have reviewed costs and recommend final payment be <br /> made to Crowell, Construction. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion to be made by David Leveille. <br /> Motion-, I move the Town vote to appropriate and, transfer from Revenue Available for <br /> Appropriation $13,015 to the Landfill Closure Capital Account. <br /> Motion passes at 8,-24 p.m. <br /> Article 10 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $11,375 to <br /> the Herring Warden Expense Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Herring Warden <br /> Explanation: The funds will be used to construct a movable chain link fence over the Mashpee <br /> River adjacent to Route 130. The fence would stop the illegal poaching of herring on closed <br /> days and at night. This would also stop the illegal removal of flume boards, required to maintain <br /> the water levels for herring migration. <br /> recommendation: The Finance Committee does not recommend approval. <br /> Motion made by George Green. <br /> Motion: I move Article 10 be indefinitely postponed. <br /> Motion to indefinitely postpone passes at 8:25 p.m. <br /> Article 11 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to acquire, by purchase or otherwise, for <br /> open space purposes allowed by Chapter 293 of the Acts of 1998, that parcel of land identified <br /> on the FY'2000 Mashpee Assessors' Maps as Map 22, Block 22, consisting of 20,000 square feet, <br /> more or less, located between Timberlane Drive and Santuit Pond; and further, to see if the Town <br /> 5 <br />
