SALES SPECIAL <br /> Chapter 113 <br /> SALES SPECIAL <br /> 113-1 Establishment of bylaw. <br /> 113-�2 Definitions <br /> 10 <br /> 113-3 Permit required; posting. <br /> 113-4 Limitations. <br /> 113-5 Display of Property. <br /> 113-6 Signs. <br /> 113-7 Right of Entry; Enforcement. <br /> 113-8 Parking. <br /> 113-9 Violations, <br /> 113-1 Establishment of bylaw. <br /> The Town established the following as a bylaw of the Town regarding yard, house, garage and/or <br /> barn sales. <br /> 113-�2 Definitions. <br /> As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated: <br /> DAYLIGHT HOURS—From one-half hour after sunrise to ore-half half hour before sunset. <br /> PERSONAL PROPERTY — That property which is owned, utilized, and maintained by <br /> members of a household where said sale is being held which may have been acquired in the <br /> normal course of occupying or maintaining a household and shall not include items purchased <br /> for resale, obtained on consignment, or owned by any person from outside the immediate area <br /> where said sale is being held, however, neighbors shall be considered as being from the <br /> immediate area. <br /> HOUSEHOLD —All persons lawfully residing in the same dwelling unit. <br /> YARD SALES — "The sale or offering for sale of ten (10) or more items of personal property at <br /> any one (1) residential premises at any one (1) time, excluding such sales as may be conducted <br /> by a bona fide charitable organization, religious or fraternal society or other tax-exempt <br /> organization. <br /> 113-3 Permit required, posting. <br /> Unless specific written authorization is given, by the Board of Selectmen, residents shall apply <br /> for the permit through the Town Clerk's Office prior to conducting any Yard Sale in the Town. <br /> It shall be unlawful to conduct a Yard Sale without first having obtained a permit from the Town <br /> Clerk. This permit shall contain the dates, time, location of sale, telephone number, and the <br /> person conducting the sale. The applicant shall pay a fee as set by the Board of Selectmen for <br /> said, permit. Said permit shall be issued in triplicate by the Office of the Town Clerk. One copy <br /> 1.1 <br />
