Charter mandated form of government. This Article seeks authorization to place a question on <br /> the ballot of the 2007 Annual Town election to "amend" the Home Rule Charter by repealing, <br /> partially repealing or retaining the previously adopted Special Acts so that there is no confusion <br /> or redundancy in the record of the Town's enabling legislation. The proposed repeal and/or <br /> retention of these Special Acts will not take effect, as a matter of law, until ratified by the voters <br /> at the Annual Election in May 2007. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 4-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Wayne Taylor. <br /> Motion: I 'Move that the Town vote to order that the proposed amendment to the Mashpee <br /> Home Rule Charter, set forth in the Warrant as "Section 8-1-A-, Disposition of Certain Special <br /> Laws", be submitted to the voters at the Annual Town Election in May, 2007. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7:45 PMO <br /> Article 2 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds $792 to pay <br /> previous fiscal year unpaid bills as follows: <br /> Pitney Bowes $172.00 <br /> Acme Precast $620.00 <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Town Accountant <br /> Explanation: This article is necessary to pay Fiscal Year 20O bills received after the close of <br /> the fiscal year. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 4-�0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Theresa Cook. <br /> motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for <br /> Appropriati on $792 to various de partmental unpaid bill accounts, with said funds to be <br /> distributed by the Town Accountant. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7:46 PMO <br /> 3 <br />
