The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 4-0. <br /> Planning Board voted at a Public Hearing held on September 20, 2006 5-0 to recommend <br /> approval. <br /> Motion made to dispense with reading of article. <br /> If <br /> Motion to dispense with readini! of article passes at 8:20pMO <br /> Motion made by Selectman George Green. <br /> Motion: I move Article 30 be voted as printed in the warrant, except for the phrase "or take any <br /> other action relating thereto". <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 8:21 PMO <br /> Article 31 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-law as follows: <br /> Amend the last sentence of Subsection 174-5 I.B. to read as follows: "Except where permitted as <br /> part of development for which, a special permit has been issued by the Planning Board, all signs <br /> exceeding twenty (20) square feet require a special permit from the Board of Appeals, in <br /> ,accordance with Article VI." <br /> Amend Subsection 174-55.C. by adding at the beginning of the first sentence the phrase "Except <br /> where additional signs are permitted under a special permit issued by the Planning Board" <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Planning Board <br /> Explanation: The sign by-law currently requires that any sign over 20 square feet requires a <br /> special permit from the Zoning Board of Appeals, and that, no matter how large a project or how <br /> many permitted entrances it has, only one freestanding sign is allowed. This article would <br /> remove the requirement for a ,SBA special permit for projects which already require a Planning <br /> Board special permit, and allows the Planning Board to permit more than one appropriate <br /> freestanding sign for the large projects that come under their jurisdiction. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 4-0. <br /> Planning Board voted at a Public Hearing held on September 20, 2006 5-0 to recommend <br /> approval. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Wayne Taylor, <br /> 30 <br />
