Motion made by Kenneth Marsters. Motion: I move Article 19 be voted as printed in the Warrant with the exception of the phrase, "or take any other action relating thereto". Motion to amend Article 19 made at 9:04 p.m. Motion to amend Article 19 defeated at 9:04 p.m. Motion passes at 9:11 p.m. Article 20 To see if the Town will amend Section 174-55.0 as follows: In an industrial district, one (1) freestanding sign is permitted on each lot, provided that it does not stand forty (40 square feet in signboard area, does not exceed five (5) feet in height and is located closer than fifty (50) feet to a lot line. In commercial districts, one (1) freestanding stand per road access point is permitted, with permission of lot owner where sign would be positioned. Such sign will be limited to the name of the business and shall direct the public to its location. Such signs may not exceed forty (40 square feet in signboard area and may not be closer than twelve (12) feet to any lot line. The top edge of any such freestanding sign shall be not higher than twenty-five (25) vertical measure above the average level of the ground between the supports of each sign or take any other action related thereto. Submitted by Petition Explanation: The purpose of this Article would allow a commercial business that is, not visible from the road to advertise its location at a road access point. The purpose would only be to advertise a business that could not be seen from the road. Planning Board voted at a Public Hearing held on October 15, 2003 4®o to 'indefinitely postpone..
