Finance Committee recommends approval in so far as the voters are assured that the funds <br /> in the article are sufficient to ensure that an adequate road bed can be laid out which will <br /> assume the heavy commercial traffic anticipated without premature disintegration. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to accept the layout of Echo Road as a public way as shown on a <br /> plan entitled "Easement Taking and Layout Plan of Echo Road"' dated November 10, 2000 by <br /> Eagle Surveying, Inc. which layout has been filed in the Office of the Town Clerk, not later than <br /> seven days prior to the date of the vote hereunder and vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen <br /> to acquire by gift, purchase, or eminent domain taking any land necessary for the purposes of <br /> such ways as so laid out, and appropriate $194,650 to the Echo Road Roadways Account and to <br /> meet said appropriation, the Treasurer, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, be <br /> authorized to borrow at one time, or from, time to time under and pursuant to Chapter 44 Section. <br /> 7 or 8 or any other enabling authority for such purpose or taking and layout, including costs of <br /> constructing such ways and legal financing and other costs incidental and related thereto; and <br /> further authorize the Board of Selectmen to assess betterments to the owners of the land abutting <br /> the ways. <br /> Motion passes by 2/3rds vote at 816 p.m. <br /> Motion made to adjourn at 8:16 p.m., <br /> Motion to adjourn passes at 8:17 p.m. <br /> And you are hereby directed to serve this Warrant by posting up attested copies thereof, one at <br /> the Town.
