Selectmen and the Secretary of Massachusetts Department of mousing & Community <br /> Development and maintaining communications with similar groups in housing <br /> organizations. The activities and recommendations of the Committee shall be <br /> consistent with the goals, objectives, policies and action plan of the Town's adopted <br /> Comprehensive plan. <br /> §5-63. Membership; Terms: The Board of Selectmen shall appoint the Affordable Housing <br /> Committee, consisting of nine 9 members.. Members shall be reappointed annually. <br /> The members of the Affordable Housing Committee shall serve without pay, <br /> §5-64Organization; Meetings: The Committee shall elect annually a Chairman, vice <br /> Chairman. and Clerk. Said election shall tale place at its first meeting after July 1, of <br /> each year, or tale any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This ,article would change the makeup of the Affordable Housing Committee in <br /> order to meet the quorum requirement for holding meetings. <br /> :Motion made to dispense wit reading of article. <br /> Motion to disperse with reading of article passes at :24 p.m. <br /> Motion made by Wayne Taylor. <br /> Motion I move Article 16 be voted as printed in the warrant, with the exception of the phrase, <br /> "or take any other action relating thereto". <br /> Motion passes at 9:28 p.m. <br /> Article 1" <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend section 7C. of Chapter 172 of the Mashpee Code by <br /> substituting the following for the last sentence of said section: <br /> Any permit may be renewed for an additional year, or in theCommission's discretion, a longer <br /> period of time (not to exceed three years) provided that: <br /> 1. a written request for renewal is received at least 30 days prior to the expiration date of the <br /> original permit (issued under Chapter 172); <br /> and that the Commission finds that: <br /> 2. delays in initiating or completing the originally permitted work were unavoidable including, <br /> but not limited:to, appeals or inability to obtain other, applicable permits); <br /> 2 <br />
