Town of Mashpee Special Town Meeting May 5, 2003 Meeting called to order at 7:37 p-ml, 228 voters present Quorum 100 Barnstable, ss: Greetings to the Constables of the Town, In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and summon the inhabitants of the Town of Mas,hpee who are qualified to vote in the elections to meet at the Quashnet School on Monday, the 5thday of May, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. for the following purposes: To act on the articles contained in the following Warrant. Article I To see if the Town. will vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds $72,262 to the Police Salary/Wage Account to fund a contract between the Town and the International Brotherhood of Police Officers, Local 389, Unit A, for the period beginning July 1, 2001, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen Explanation: This article will provide funding for a contract between the Town and the International Brotherhood of Police Officers, Local 389, Unit A. Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. Motion made by Wayne Taylor. Motion: I move the Town. vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for Appropriation $72,262 to the Police Salary/Wage Account to fund a contract between the Town ,and the Mashpee Police Association, Unit A, M.C.0 .P. Local 320 AFL-CIO, for the period beginning July 1, 2001. Motion passes unanimously at 7:39. Article 2 To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds $26,283 to the Police Salary/Wage Account to fund a contract between the Town and the Mashpee Police Association, Unit B, Sergeants, M.C.O.P. Local 320, AFL-CIO, for the period beginning July 1, 2001, or take any other action relating thereto.
