<br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds in the Community
<br /> Preservation Fund, in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Ch.4413 §5, $225,000 for the
<br /> purpose of funding the Breezy Acres Expansion, Phase 1, including any necessary costs and
<br /> expenses related thereto, as recommended by the Community Preservation Committee, or take
<br /> any other action relating thereto.
<br /> Submitted by the Community Preservation Committee
<br /> Explanation: To construct four new units of perpetually affordable, family rental housing on
<br /> the site of the existing family rental, housing located at 570 Old Barnstable Road, Mashp�ee. In
<br /> Phase 1, one more duplex is proposed, to consist of(2) two-bedroom units, four affordable rental
<br /> units each approximately 1440 square feet. The property currently has (3) duplex units; six units
<br /> of affordable, rental family housing that is managed by the Mashpee Housing Authority.
<br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval by a vote of 5-0.
<br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of -0.
<br /> Motion made by Selectman George Green.
<br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Community Preservation
<br /> Affordable Housing Reserve $225,000 to the Community Preservation Breezy Acres Account in
<br /> accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Ch.44B §5.

<br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire certain parcels of
<br /> land designated on the Mashpee Assessors' Maps as Map 23, Blocks 20, 30, 36, 51, 54, 68 and
<br /> 212, Map 30, Blocks 48, 513, 85, 91, 94, 97, 108, 111, and 143, located in. Mashpee, Barnstable
<br /> County, Massachusetts, consisting of fifteen and twenty-four-one-hundredths (15.24 ac.) acres,
<br /> more or less, and more accurately described in deeds recorded in the Barnstable County Registry
<br /> of Deeds in Book 15578 Page 33 and Book 3191 Page 120, along with. those portions of the
<br /> adjacent "paper" streets known as Lowell Street, Coolidge Street, Harlow Street, Tobey Street,
<br /> Abbotsford Road, Lake Avenue, Fuller Street, Englewood Avenue, Dale Street and Chopchague
<br /> Road, shown on a Plan of Land recorded in the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds in an
<br /> Book 27 Page 137, which are appurtenant to any of said parcels; to acquire said parcels by gift,
<br /> purchase and/or, with the consent of the owners, confirmatory eminent domain taking under
<br /> Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 79, or any other enabling authority; to acquire said land
<br /> for open space, conservation and passive recreation purposes, consistent with the provisions of
<br /> Mass. Gen. Laws. Ch. 401 Section 8C, and Article 97 of the Amendments to the Constitution of
<br /> the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; to appropriate and transfer from available funds in the
<br /> Community Preservation Fund, in accordance with the provisions of Mass. Gen. Laws. Ch.44B
<br /> Section 5, the sum of$720,000 for the purchase of said parcels of land, including any incidental
<br /> costs and expenses, related thereto, as recommended by the Community Preservation Committee;
