Article 13 To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds in the Community Preservation Fund, in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. c.44B, §5, $104,000 for the purpose of funding reconstruction of the tennis courts at Quashnet School, including necessary costs and expenses related thereto, as recommended by the Community Preservation Committee, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Community Preservation Act Committee Explanation: To rebuild the tennis courts located at the Quashnet School. The configuration allows for a double tennis court and a basketball court. The court has been unplayable for a number of years and is conducive to youth and adult instruction and play. The Board of Selectmen recommends approval by a vote of 5-0. The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 6-�0. Motion made by Selectman John Cahalane. Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from the Community Preservation Budgeted for Appropriation Reserve $104,000 to the Community Preservation Quashnet School Tennis Court Account, in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. c.44B §5. Motion passes unanimously at 7: 2 PM. Article 14 To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from the Community Preservation Fund $25,000 to the Community Preservation Act Committee Administrative and Operating Expenses Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Community Preservation Act Committee Explanation,., This article will provide funding to cover secretarial support and other related expenses.
