Article 13 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds in the Community <br /> Preservation Fund, in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. c.44B, §5, $104,000 for the <br /> purpose of funding reconstruction of the tennis courts at Quashnet School, including necessary <br /> costs and expenses related thereto, as recommended by the Community Preservation Committee, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Community Preservation Act Committee <br /> Explanation: To rebuild the tennis courts located at the Quashnet School. The configuration <br /> allows for a double tennis court and a basketball court. The court has been unplayable for a <br /> number of years and is conducive to youth and adult instruction and play. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 6-�0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman John Cahalane. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from the Community Preservation <br /> Budgeted for Appropriation Reserve $104,000 to the Community Preservation Quashnet School <br /> Tennis Court Account, in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. c.44B §5. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7: 2 PM. <br /> Article 14 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from the Community Preservation Fund <br /> $25,000 to the Community Preservation Act Committee Administrative and Operating Expenses <br /> Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Community Preservation Act Committee <br /> Explanation,., This article will provide funding to cover secretarial support and other related <br /> expenses. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of -0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Don Myers. <br /> 9 <br />
