As chaff_ nia ;
of file ..nn ,IF.
Board I would like to give the Planning 1>car.d
report. . At the Town ileeti.ng $6000 was voted to develop a
':`Taster L' 1.an for the Town of Aashpee. The Mashpee Mister Plan
Summary ?report was completed in1`69 . This was presented to
the ne.ople . The next step as a r•esuit of the decision to have
this done was to prepare a set of updated and revised by-laws .
The old bar-laws were ambiguous and did not cover and needed to
be consoldatec' and updated.
(Here Mr. Marsters presented a copy of the proposed. new by-laws ,
stating some amendments suggeste by Town Council and by public
Bearing had been incorporated. )
From the floor: Shouldn 't more notice be given before any change'?
NodFerat.or: Are you going to speak in objection?
Moderator: I don ' t know i.L a motion is going 'o be made to accept
this report .
George Benway: l move we accent the article as read.,
From the floor : I recommend they be rejected. I have studied
these reports and they do not, improve planning . for the Town.
There was a chance to discuss the proposal , but most didn' t get
notice enough. The present by laws would restrict the develop-
er: in this town. This new type of by-laws with its consolida-
tion doesn' t better the situation. It makes pollution more imminent.
If we forget pollution we are going to be in trouble . We are in
faict already, in trouble . Areas over populated in the summer time
zvi__1 hiirder the proper development of Nlashpee . This matter of making
t easy `- ,,.- ;luster zoning is a move :in the wrong direction.
1 _Ire is no nie-nti_on .of ' plan for reducing further pollution and
L,.Kis is our nuarr ber one problem and this plat develops it more.
