`GI Page 2 I Mashpee Special Town Meeting ® November 18 , 1968. Thomas : Why has it taken so long? ,i Childs : It was due to tardiness in completing maps "which were due in January this year. The are not completed yet. We have preliminary maps which we will use to complete our jobs. We understand they will be completed this week. . . today or tomorrow. Additional work and funds are necessary because we wish the work to be up to date, and you now h ve 2 years of new construc- tion. Your original 3300 or 3500 parcels to be considered is now over 5 ,000, which Mr. Savery is in the process of completing. The new units and important parcels accounts for the additional fee. It will be up to date as of January 1969 instead of 1967 . Vernon Thomas ; In other words a Savery was late doing his job. Childs : Tardiness in submitting the maps entered into the delay. Homeyer: How many pieces or parcels were picked up as a result? Childs : Maybe 1800, robably 2,000. Homeyer: We never had a record on them? 'Not necessarily; said Childs. "In many instances what was listed as acreage is now broken down into separate parcels . " Homeyer® In other words , the Town will gain. Childs : True. You now have separate identities. For instance, 28 acres will now be 35 lots and so taxed instead of one parcel of 28 acres. . Moderator: .Any further questions? No further questions . Mr. Childs was thanked and dismissed.
