Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer $2,000 from the Department of Public Works Snow and Ice Account to the Town Clerk Expense Account. Motion passes unanimously at 7:52 p.m. Article 6 To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer $15,000 from the Assessing Department's Salary/Wage Account to the Data Processing Computer Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Assessing Department Explanation: The purpose of this article is to provide funds to aid in upgrading the Assessing Department's computer hardware and software. Recommendation: Finance Committee recommends approval. Motion made by Curtis Frye. Motion: I move Article 6 be voted as printed in the warrant, with the exception of the phrase, ``or take any other action relating thereto." Motion passes unanimously at 7:52 p.m. Article 7 To see if the Town will vote to create a full-time Senior Clerk position under the Clerical Contract, Grade 11, for the Building Department, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Building Department Explanation: We are requesting a Senior Clerk, rather than a clerk, to more accurately reflect the duties and responsibilities of the position as well as the level of skill desired in this position. This position is necessary to comply with the recording of business transacted as required by the many codes and to keep up with the increased, work load of the department. To keep a balance between the clerical and the inspection requirements of the department, it has been necessary to retain an inspector in the office to perform clerical duties. This position is needed to release the inspectors to perform field and other required duties. Recommendation: Finance Committee to strike full-time senior clerk, inserting the following words, temporary full-time senior clerk position for the Building Department to expire ore year from date of hire. Motion made by Kenneth Marsters. Motion: I move Article 7 be voted as printed in the warrant, with the exception of the phrase, "or take any other action relating thereto," Motion to amend to temporary full-time senior clerk to expire in one year.
