Motion made by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to accept the reports of the Town officers <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 8:05 p.m. <br /> ARTICLE 3 <br /> To see if the Town will fix the salaries of the following elected officers as provided in <br /> Chapter 41, Section 108, of the General Laws for the Period of July 1, 1999 to June 30, <br /> 2000, and further to see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate and transfer a sum <br /> of money to defray the Town's expenses for the ensuing fiscal year according to the <br /> following line item budget with the maximum amount to be appropriated as shown in the <br /> column entitled "Dept. FY 2000 Request" (See Omnibus Budget), or take any other <br /> action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article seeks to fund the annual operating budgets for the various <br /> Town departments. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to fix the salaries of the elected officers as specified under <br /> the columns entitled "Finance Committee Recommendations": in Line Items <br /> 1,2,10,13,22,63,68 of the "Omnibus" budget as distributed to voters at the Town Meeting <br /> and further the Town defray the expenses for the ensuing fiscal year by appropriating <br /> those amounts shown under the columns entitled "Finance Committee Recommendations" <br /> and that to fund said appropriation, the Town raise and appropriate $28,300,559 and <br /> further appropriate and transfer from the Ambulance Receipts Reserved for Appropriation <br /> Account $125,000 to Line Item 41 and $42,000 to Line Item 42; appropriate and transfer <br /> from the Hotel/Motel Reserved Receipts Account $120,000 to Line Item 86; appropriate <br /> and transfer from the Conservation Receipts Reserved for Appropriation Account $11,300 <br /> to Line Item 27; appropriate and transfer from the Conservation Trust Account $5,000 to <br /> Line Item 28; appropriate and transfer from the Shellfish Receipts Reserved for <br /> Appropriation Account $8,500 to Line Item 55; appropriate and transfer from the <br /> Betterment Receipts Reserved for Appropriation Account $153,000 to Line Item 80 <br /> appropriate and transfer from the School Foundation Aid Account $137,000 to Line Item <br /> 56; appropriate and transfer from the Stabilization Trust Fund $300,000 to Line Item 86; <br /> appropriate and transfer from the Cranberry Bog Receipts for Appropriation Account <br /> $4,500 to Line Item 27;provided, however, that the sum of$1,050,000 in line item 56 and <br /> the sum of$100,000 in line item 88 shall be contingent upon passage, at an election, of a <br /> Proposition 2 1/2 override vote permitting the Town to assess an additional $1,150,000 in <br /> real estate and personal property taxes for fiscal year 2000. <br />
