ARTICLE 28 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to grant Commonwealth <br /> Electric Company an easement to install and maintain an underground electric system on <br /> town owned property shown on Mashpee Assessors Map 43, Block 2 to provide service <br /> to the treatment facility at the Quashnet Bog, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Conservation Commission <br /> and Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article would grant the Commonwealth Electric Company an easement <br /> to install power to the water treatment facility referenced in Article 38 of this Town <br /> Meeting. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to grant <br /> Commonwealth Electric Company an easement to install and maintain an underground <br /> electric system on town owned property shown on Mashpee Assessors Map 43, Block 2 <br /> to provide service to the treatment facility at the Quashnet Bog. <br /> Motion made to dispense with reading of articles. <br /> Motion to dispense with reading of the articles passes at 10:53 p.m. <br /> Motion on Article 28 passes at unanimously 10:53 p.m. <br /> ARTICLE 29 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to transfer those parcels of town owned land shown on the <br /> 1998 Mashpee Assessors' Maps as Map 21, Block 78; Map 28, Block 14; Map 29, Blocks <br /> 130 and 146; Map 35, Block 74; Map 41, Block 51; Map 42, Blocks 17 and 28; Map 33, <br /> Blocks 1,2 and 3; Map 34, Blocks 2 and 3 and Map 108, Block 32 to the care and custody <br /> of the Conservation Commission pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, <br /> Section 8C, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Conservation Commission <br /> Explanation: This article would designate certain parcels of tax taking land owned by the <br /> Town, located adjacent to the Besse Bog Conservation Area between South Sandwich <br /> Road and Cotuit Road, between Lovell's Lane and the Mashpee River, adjacent to the <br /> Johns Pond Park Conservation Area and on Hamblin's Pond as Town conservation land. <br /> The listed parcels on Assessors' Maps 33, 34, 35, 41, 42 and 108 are located within the <br /> boundaries of the Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge. <br />
