ARTICLE 32 To see if the Town will vote to amend Chapter 40 of the Mashpee Code by making the following changes, or take any other action relating thereto. 1. 40-1A. Delete the first sentence and insert the following: The Town will hold two regularly scheduled Town Meetings annually. 2. 40-1A. Delete the last sentence and insert the following: The Fall Town Meeting will be held the first Monday in October and will address any and all other business to come before the Town Meeting. 3. 404C. Delete the last sentence and insert the following: Articles for the Fall Town Meeting must be submitted by the second Monday in July each year. 4. 40-2. Quorum. Delete the last sentence and insert the following: For any session, including any adjourned session, of a meeting convened on a date specified in 40-1A, the quorum shall be zero. Submitted by the Town Clerk Explanation: For the Town to maintain a "Fall Annual Town Meeting", it must obtain an Act of the Legislature. By simply removing the word "Annual" the Town may continue without the requirement of an Act of Legislature. Motion made by Selectman Marsters. Motion: I move Article 32 be indefinitely postponed. Motion to indefinitely postpone passes at 7:47 p.m. ARTICLE 33 To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen, pursuant to General Laws Chapter 40, Section 4A, or otherwise, to enter into an intermunicipal agreement with the Town of Falmouth for the provision of human services within the scope of services provided by a Board of Health at such terms and conditions as determined reasonable by the Board of Selectmen, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Human Services Committee Explanation: This article seeks to authorize an intermunicipal agreement with the Town of Falmouth for assistance in coordinating Town-wide human services.
