Article 5 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of <br /> $8,074 to create a limited part-time Driver position under Appendix B of the Personnel <br /> Administration Plan at the Council on Aging, Grade 6, Step 1, with said funds to be distributed as <br /> follows: $7,500 to the COA Salary and Wage Account, $574 to the Medicare Account, or take <br /> any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Council On Aging <br /> Explanation: The Council on Aging is seeking grant funding for a van to transport seniors and <br /> disabled citizens to Town Meetings, shopping trips, doctor and hospital appointments, special <br /> trips, rides to the Senior Center and volunteer opportunities, etc. throughout Town. This driver <br /> position will be used to operate said van on an as needed basis for routine and non-routine <br /> schedules. The position will operate an average of 14.5 hours per week and is necessary to help <br /> validate the grant request. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee does not recommend approval. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to raise and appropriate $8,074 to create a limited part-time <br /> Driver position under Appendix B of the Personnel Administration Plan at the Council on Aging, <br /> Grade 6, Step 1, with said funds to be distributed as follows: $7,500 to the COA Salary and <br /> Wage Account, $574 to the Medicare Account. <br /> Motion made to raise and appropriate $8,074.00. <br /> Motion passes at 7:27 p.m. <br /> Article 6 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the Personnel Administration Plan by deleting Appendix A <br /> (Position Classifications) and Appendix B (Salary Schedule) and substituting a new Appendix A <br /> and Appendix B, copies of which are on file in the office of the Town Clerk, and to raise and <br /> appropriate or transfer from available funds a sum of money for the purpose of funding the salary <br /> changes indicated in said new Appendix A and Appendix B, or take any other action relating <br /> thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Personnel Board <br /> Explanation: This article is based on the reclassification study of all P.A.P. positions. The action <br /> on this article will promote both internal and external equity, and has been forwarded as a result <br /> of study and recommendation by the Massachusetts Municipal Consulting Group. <br /> Recommendation: No recommendation was made. <br /> 4 <br />
