Article 17 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to grant to Commonwealth <br /> Electric Company an easement on Town owned land at the corner of Old Barnstable Road and <br /> Nathan Ellis Highway (Route 151), and shown on Mashpee Assessors Map 73, Lot 45 to install <br /> and maintain underground electric cable and any other equipment deemed necessary to service the <br /> new Mashpee High School, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article seeks to grant to the Commonwealth Electric Company the necessary <br /> easement to maintain underground electric service the New High School. <br /> Recommendation: Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made to accept article as read. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 9:25 p.m. <br /> Article 18 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to negotiate a lease, for a term <br /> not to exceed 99 years, of the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Museum to the Mashpee Wampanoag <br /> Indian Tribal Council, Inc., and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to petition the General Court <br /> for special legislation permitting such lease, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article seeks authorization for the Board of Selectmen to negotiate a lease <br /> with the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council for the control and operation of the Indian <br /> Museum. <br /> Recommendation: Finance Committee does not recommend approval. <br /> Motion made to accept article as read. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 9:34 p.m. <br /> Article 19 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of$1,184.82 <br /> to reclassify the following library positions: 1 Circulation Assistant from Grade 3, Step 1 to <br /> Grade 4, Step 1; 2 Circulation Assistants from grade 3, Step 5 to Grade 4, Step 4, and Library <br /> Assistant from Grade 8, Step 5 to Grade 10, Step 3, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Petition <br /> 16 <br />
