Explanation: This article transfers funds needed for an expansion of the Town Clerk's Office. <br /> Recommendation: Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made to transfer $3,000 from Elections/Registration Salary/Wage to Town Clerk <br /> expense account. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 8:15 p.m. <br /> Article 8 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds a sum of <br /> money to the Human Services Account to be expended under the direction of the Board of Health <br /> to operate the following programs: Visiting Nurses Association Parenting Program and the <br /> Battered Women's Legal Assistance Program, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article seeks to continue funding for two successful human service programs <br /> which were operated initially under the FY 1993 EOCD Small Cities Program. <br /> Recommendation: Finance Committee to make recommendation at Town Meeting. <br /> Motion made to raise and appropriate $19,450, $14,450 to Visiting Nurses Association <br /> Parenting Program and $5,000 to Battered Women's Legal Assistance Program. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 8:15 p.m. <br /> Article 9 <br /> (Sale of Liqueurs and Cordials by Wine & Malt Restaurant Licensees) <br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of the last paragraph of MGL Chapter 138, <br /> Section 12, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This will allow common victuals in Mashpee licensed to sell wine and malt <br /> beverages under MGL 138, Section 12, to also sell Liqueurs and Cordials, subject to approval by <br /> the Local Licensing Board. <br /> Recommendation: Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made to accept article as read. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 8:16 p.m. <br /> 4 <br />
