<br /> appointed by the Selectmen, including

<br /> The Moderator called upon Town Counsel for explanation for
<br /> these two Articles .
<br /> Town Counsel: The General Laws provide for a establishment '
<br /> of a Historic District. Your Historic Study Committee (District)
<br /> must_ be formed and then we would go on from there .
<br /> At this point a motion was made and seconded to indefinitely
<br /> postpone Article 46, and it was so voted, unanimously.
<br /> Mrs. Bingham: Asked the Town Counsel for the proper words
<br /> for the amendment for Article 47 . A motion was then read that
<br /> Article 47 be amended to read, "Establish a Historic District
<br /> Study Committee in accordance with the provision of Chapter 40C,
<br /> Section 4, of the General Laws" . A motion was made that Article 47
<br /> be accepted as amended, and it was so voted.
<br /> At this time there was a break for coffee . The time was 9: 25PM.
<br /> The meeting was reconvened at 9:45PM and the Moderator asked the
