47 <br /> Warrant <br /> for <br /> March 71 1960 <br /> i <br /> BA NSTABLE, SS: To the Constable of the Town of Mash- <br /> pee, GREETING <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you <br /> are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of <br /> the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in the elec- <br /> tions, to meet at the Town lull on. Monday, the seventh day <br /> of March next at seven -o'clock p.m. far the following purposes <br /> To act on the articles contained in the following warrant. To <br /> meet at the Town Hall the following Wednesday, March 9, 1960 <br /> to bring in their votes for the election of officers as adopted <br /> by the Town. The polls will be open at Twelve o'clock noon <br /> and may be closed at Seven-thirty p.m. <br /> Moderator, Mrs. Theresa B. Johnson presided at the <br /> meeting. <br /> The meeting was opened at seven fifteen p.m. with a <br /> prayer led by Mr. Leo Houston -and a moment of silent prayer <br /> for those departedcitizens. <br /> Tellers were Miss Eleanor Peters and Mrs,. Ellen Heed- <br /> ricks. The registered voters were separated from the non- <br /> registered and the tellers polled the house. (5-5) Fifty-five <br /> f <br /> registered voters were present. <br /> Our Annual Town Meeting of March 7, 1960 is one of <br /> the longest on record. It was held for three (3) nights. The <br /> third night's meeting was opened by our newly elected <br /> Moderator, Mr. Ellery S. Tobey. <br /> Article I.
