<br /> Section 4. The Selectmen shall provide a suitable space for the
<br /> Board of Health in the Torn Office Building and all books, records and
<br /> documents pertaining to the doings of the Board, properly indexed shall
<br /> r
<br /> be kept on file in said space for convenient inspection by the town of
<br /> ficials and the Board's successors in offlce.
<br /> ` ARTICLE V1. FINANCE COMMTTM
<br /> Section 1. There ,shall be a finance committee, consisting of five
<br /> voters of the town, of whom-one shall be elected for the term of one year,
<br /> one for the term of two years, one for the term of three gears, one for
<br /> the term of four years and one for the term of fire years, subsequent
<br /> annual elections to choose one member for a term: of five years. They
<br /> } shall make recommendations on all warrant articles involving money
<br /> appropriation's. E
<br /> Section 2. The Finance Conannittee shall choose one of their
<br /> number as chairman, and likewise choose a clerk. Said co=ittee may
<br /> consider such questions with reference to the conduct -of the torn affairs
<br /> as they may deem -advisable, 'and may -consult with any and all officers,
<br /> boards, and committees of the town with reference to matters under
<br /> their supervision; they shall consider the various articles in the warrant
<br /> for any annual or special meeting, called during their tenure of office,
<br /> and shall make a report of their doings and recommendations to the town.
<br /> Section 3. The Finance Committee may hold hearings if in their
<br /> judgment it be expedient, but shall expend no money unless authorized
<br /> by the vote of the torn.
<br /> Section 4. The Finance Committee shall have authority at any
<br /> time to examine and investigate the books, accounts and management
<br /> of any department of the town and of all off.eers thereof, and all official
<br /> or departmental records shall be open to the inspection of the Committee
<br /> or of any person authorized in writing to act for the Committee.
<br /> Section 5. The members of the Finance Committee shall serge with-
<br /> out
<br /> pay for their services, but they may be reimbursed for actual ex-
<br /> penses incurred in the discharge of their duties hereunder, with the ap-
<br /> proval f
<br /> of the Board of Selectmen.
<br /> Section 6. vaca,neies in said committee shall be filled in the same
<br /> manner as in the ease of other committees or boards of the town.
<br /> ARTICLE vII, PLANNING BOARD
<br /> Section 1. T-he voters of the town shall choose by ballot beginning =L
<br /> With the annual election in March of 1960, a Planning Board to consist
<br /> of five members under the provisions of General Lavers, Chapter 41,
<br /> Section 81A; provided that at the 1960 election members of the Planning
<br /> ` Board-shall be elected one for a term of one year, one for a term of two
<br /> years, one for a term of three years, one for a term of four years, -anal
<br /> one f or a term of five years; subsequent annual, elections to choose one ,
<br /> .# menlber for a term -of five years. The powers and duties of such Board !
<br /> shall be such as areI
<br /> stated in General I.ravcrs, Chapter 41, Section BIB to �
<br /> 81J, inclusive, and Section 81Q; and further, to consider and advise upon
<br /> municipal improvements at the request -of other town officials, depart-
<br /> ments boards, or -committees, or upon its own initiative.
