To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds in the treasury the sum of $1,250.00 to meet the Town's share of the cost of the construction of two stone jetties at Popponesett Beach between or near the properties of Mary E. Hacket and Marion Sares providing the County contributes their proportionate share of $1,250.00 and the State their proportionate share of $2,500.00 and in addition to transfer from unappropriated available funds in the treasury the sum of $3,750.00 to meet the tate's and ,ounty's-shave of the cost of the work, the reimbursement from the State and Bounty to be restored upon receipt to unappropriated available funds in the trea- sury or take any other action thereon. Action: Upon ,motion duly made and seconded it was voted to raise and appropriate the sum of $1,250.00 to meet the Town's share. The rest of the article was voted as read. Unanimous vote. Article 26. To see if,the Town will assume liability in the manner provided by Section 29 of Chapter 91 of the General Laws, as amended by Chapter 516 -and 524, acts of 1950 for all damages that may be incurred by work to be performed by the Department of Public works of Massachusetts for the im- provement, development, maintenance and protection of tidal and non-tidal rivers and streams, harbors, tidewaters, and foreshores and shores along a public beach outside of Boston Harbor including the Merrimac and Connecticut Rivers, in accordance with Section 11 of Chapter 91 of the General Laws, and authorize the Selectmen to execute and deliver a bond of i adernnity therf ore to the Cormnonwealth, or take any other action thereon.
