To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br /> appropriate or transfer from available funds in the treasury <br /> the sum of $1,250.00 to meet the Town's share of the cost of <br /> the construction of two stone jetties at Popponesett Beach <br /> between or near the properties of Mary E. Hacket and Marion <br /> Sares providing the County contributes their proportionate <br /> share of $1,250.00 and the State their proportionate share of <br /> $2,500.00 and in addition to transfer from unappropriated <br /> available funds in the treasury the sum of $3,750.00 to meet <br /> the tate's and ,ounty's-shave of the cost of the work, the <br /> reimbursement from the State and Bounty to be restored <br /> upon receipt to unappropriated available funds in the trea- <br /> sury or take any other action thereon. <br /> Action: Upon ,motion duly made and seconded it was <br /> voted to raise and appropriate the sum of $1,250.00 to meet <br /> the Town's share. The rest of the article was voted as read. <br /> Unanimous vote. <br /> Article 26. To see if,the Town will assume liability in the <br /> manner provided by Section 29 of Chapter 91 of the General <br /> Laws, as amended by Chapter 516 -and 524, acts of 1950 for all <br /> damages that may be incurred by work to be performed by the <br /> Department of Public works of Massachusetts for the im- <br /> provement, development, maintenance and protection of tidal <br /> and non-tidal rivers and streams, harbors, tidewaters, and <br /> foreshores and shores along a public beach outside of Boston <br /> Harbor including the Merrimac and Connecticut Rivers, in <br /> accordance with Section 11 of Chapter 91 of the General Laws, <br /> and authorize the Selectmen to execute and deliver a bond of <br /> i adernnity therf ore to the Cormnonwealth, or take any other <br /> action thereon. <br /> Action: Upon notion duly made and seconded it was <br /> voted to accept the article as read. <br /> Unanimous vote. <br /> f <br />
