Voted unanimously. voted 33 for, none apposed. <br /> Article 43, To see what the concensus of this Town <br /> Meeting re is in and to the filing of a bill in the Legislature to j <br /> g <br /> abolish or retain the Mashp-ee Advisory Commission,, <br /> 4 Action: Motion made -and seconded to postpone article <br /> indefinitely. voted 20 for motion, 36 opposed. Motion made <br /> and seconded to retain the Mashpee Advisory Commission or . <br /> not to retain them and that secret ballots be cast for this <br /> notion. Noted 65 yes to retain Advisory Commission and <br /> voted 27 no not to retain commissioners. Motion carried. <br /> i <br /> - i <br /> Article 44. To se-e f the Town will vote to adopt the <br /> following resolution: <br /> WHEREAS the General Court sitting as a Constitu- <br /> tional Convention, did on July 16, 1963, <br /> give initial approval to a Hone Rule <br /> amendment to the state Constitution, and <br /> WHEREAS this bill of rights for local governments <br /> requires a second approval by the mem- <br /> bers of the General Court during this <br /> legislative session, and <br /> WHEREAS we, as members of this Town fleeting, <br /> feel competent to handle the affairs of <br /> our Town without strict supervision by <br /> the Commonwealth of our every act and <br /> deed <br /> A NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this 'town <br /> meeting hereby instructs its representa- <br /> tives to the General Court to vote in favor <br /> E <br /> I <br />
